Dutch Von Drachenhaus was our most influential stud male. He was a very impressive, large black and tan boy with the most wonderful personality that he passed on to his pups. His pedigree consists of American and West German show line dogs as well as West German working lines and many of the top East German DDR dogs, such as Nuemann's Jim & Don vom Rolandsteich. He had a straight back so he had the beautiful show-line look without the angulation that is so prevalent with the show lineage. He was DNA'd and OFA'd for both hips and elbows and completed advanced obedience training and received his CGC certificate. He had a perfect temperament and he would follow me everywhere --he was momma's shadow. He enjoyed meeting future puppy parents and was always the first one to greet them when they came to meet the pups! He loved to go for a ride in the car and to play with the kids and some of his favorite past-times were to curl up at my feet when we were watching tv or to chase behind the lawn tractor when we were mowing the lawn. He absolutely adored puppies and loved to play with them. He was the epitome of the gentle giant with both human children and puppies alike! He was the best family dog I could have ever hoped for. Everywhere we went people would compliment us on not only his looks but also his manners and his personality. He passed on his heavy bone structure and impressive size as well as his awesome, even temperament to his pups, including our current stud male, his son Ian. Dutch was just a joy to own and was about as perfect as they come. He was irreplaceable and is missed so very much by our entire family.
